To help you stay on top of what’s important, Factor has an email notification system that lets you know when there is News for you to see and where to find it.

To set up and edit your email notifications:

  1. Click on the 3-dot menu next your name in the left panel
  2. Click “Edit settings”
  3. Use the dropdowns in the Settings tab to set how often you want to receive email notifications for different events.
  4. A WORD OF ADVICE: We built the News app so that you don’t have to be glued to your notifications all day long. One of the best ways to improve your performance is to tune out noise so that you can focus and get into a state of “deep work”. We recommend setting notifications to once a day. Think of it like a personal newspaper digest that you can check over a cup of coffee.
Two halves of the same task, side by side. On the left, the 3-dot menu beside the account name "Rich Dec" is open over the Analytics app, with "Edit settings" highlighted under the "ACCOUNT" heading. On the right, the panel that opens: Rich Dec's profile on its "Settings" tab, with an index reading Notification emails, Mention emails, Activity emails, Date format, Change password, and the dropdowns themselves set to "Notification emails — Enabled", "Mention emails — 4 times a day" and "Activity emails — 1 time a day". Those three frequency dropdowns are the dials the article is telling you to turn down; below them sit "FORMAT SETTINGS" with a "Date format" of "mm/dd/yyyy" and a "PASSWORD" section.
